Why this program?
When relationships become highly reactive or conflict-driven, conversations often escalate quickly or shut down completely. Over time, this can erode safety, trust, and connection.
This program provides a structured therapeutic process to help stabilise the relationship and create space for more constructive communication.
This program is designed for couples who:
-
experience frequent or intense conflict
-
struggle to communicate without escalation
-
feel emotionally disconnected or shut down
-
are navigating trust rupture or relational distress
-
feel stuck in cycles that repeat without resolution
What we'll focus on
In this program, we focus on stabilising the relationship and creating the conditions for healthier interaction.
-
reducing emotional reactivity and escalation patterns
-
improving communication during conflict
-
understanding the cycle between partners
-
rebuilding emotional safety and trust
-
developing tools for repair and reconnection
How the program works
All couples begin with an initial Assessment Phase (for purchase separately). This allows us to understand your relationship and determine the most appropriate structure for the work.
Once the assessment phase has been completed, you'll move into the core sessions:
The program then includes:
-
10 × 90-minute joint couples sessions
-
Sessions are structured, focused, and tailored to your relationship needs.
Reviews will be conducted regularly to ensure the pace is right for where you are, and any other supports you may need throughout the program.
Why a structured program?
In high-conflict relationships, unstructured counselling can often feel reactive or inconsistent.
A structured program provides:
-
consistency and containment
-
clearer therapeutic direction
-
focused progression over time
-
space to address underlying patterns, not just surface issues
What changes over time
As the program progresses, couples often move from:
-
reactivity → steadiness
-
escalation → containment
-
confusion → clarity
-
disconnection → increased understanding
The focus is not on perfection, but on creating a more stable and workable relationship dynamic.
Not sure if this is right for you?
If you’re unsure, we can discuss this in your initial assessment session and determine the most appropriate starting point for your situation.
